Using inmates from the Missouri Department of Corrections to perform maintenance tasks along the roadside saves time and resources for MoDOT, allowing transportation crews to perform other much-needed tasks. Interstate Forum Quickly Approaching

“Our Interstates at 50:  A Midlife Crisis” forum will be held June 22 at the University of Missouri-Columbia in conjunction with the nation’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of the interstate system.  Retired U.S. Gen., NBC News Analyst and HNTB Federal Services Chairman Barry McCaffrey will be the keynote speaker at a public policy forum examining the plight of Missouri’s interstates. The results of a survey of job seekers conducted over a four-month period by the Division of Workforce Development's Missouri Career Center found MoDOT to be the government agency "Employer of Choice" in Jefferson City.
