This is the largest grading project in MoDOT's history, requiring the excavation of more than seven million cubic yards of soil and rock.

On June 19, crews poured the deck of the new Lake Road 5-92 bridge. The new bridge crosses over the new Route 5.
Concrete is pumped from below to the bridge deck, where workers smooth it out to form the bridge's driving surface.

The green "grid" below the wet concrete is a steel support structure called a top mat.
