Two open-house meetings were scheduled on Oct. 25 & 30 to gather public comment about possible future improvements to Route 63 in Maries, Osage, and Phelps Counties. MoDOT presented a reasonable range of alternative highway alignments at these meetings. The reasonable range of alternatives was narrowed from the preliminary alternatives after evaluating technical, cultural, and environmental data as well as public comment from previous meetings.
Displays at the meetings showed the environmental study process, traffic data, economic development data, and the reasonable range of alternatives.
