Adopt-A-Highway
Local organizations
and others interested in improving Missouri's environment
can help with litter pickup, beautification or mowing through
MoDOT's Adopt-A-Highway program. This public-private
partnership is committed to cleaning and beautifying Missouri's
roadsides, as well as providing anti-litter education.
About
3,700 Adopt-A-Highway groups are responsible for approximately
5,000 miles of Missouri roadway. Their efforts save
MoDOT about $2 million each year. In District 4, approximately
400 active adopters maintain over 400 miles of roadway.
