Fly-Coat Operation to Begin on Routes J and 149 in Macon County

MACON - Missouri Department of Transportation maintenance crews will apply a fly-coat on Route J in Macon County Tuesday, October 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.   The process will begin at the Routes J and F intersection and continue west to Goldsberry, then south on Route 149 to Ethel.  

A fly-coat operation is a preventative maintenance process used to extend the life of the driving surface.

The roadway will be closed to through traffic during this process which should be completed in two days.   Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in the area.
