Lake Taneycomo Bridge Closed at Night
For Repairs Beginning Sunday, October 24

MoDOT, District 8, Springfield -- The Lake Taneycomo bridge on Business Route 65 in Branson is scheduled to be closed at night for up to three nights beginning Sunday, October 24, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The bridge is scheduled to be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday night, Monday night and Tuesday night.

Drivers will have to find an alternate route around the bridge while nighttime repairs are being made. However, emergency vehicles will be allowed to use the bridge during the work.

Closing the bridge is necessary to enable MoDOT crews to repair drain grates and patch potholes.

Traffic is lightest in the overnight hours.

Signs will be set in place to alert drivers to the bridge closing and repair work ahead.

Rain will cause delays in the project.
