Route 129 Bridge in Chariton County to be Dedicated on October 28

MACON - A ceremony to dedicate the completion of the new bridge on Route 129 in Salisbury will be held on October 28 at 10:00 a.m.   The event, to take place near the south end of the bridge, will include brief remarks from state and local officials and a ribbon-cutting.

  The Salisbury High School Band will add to the festivities by providing music for the ceremony.  

Boone Construction Company of Columbia was awarded the $994,426 contract to replace the bridge over the Norfolk and Southern Railroad, including resurfacing to Route 24.
