Lane Closed Aug. 2-3 on Route
64
Near Bennett Springs State Park
MoDOT, District 8, Springfield --
Drivers can expect one-lane traffic on Route 64 just west of Bennett
Springs State Park west of Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday, August
2-3, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
MoDOT maintenance crews will replace
a deteriorating 24-inch drain pipe located 8 to 9 feet below the
road surface.
Along with the one-lane traffic, drivers
can expect a narrowed driving lane.
Flaggers will direct traffic through
the work zone to be set up about 7-tenths of a mile west of the
Laclede-Dallas county line.
Crews plan to work between 7 a.m. and dusk each of the two days.
Route 64 will be open to two-way traffic
at night during the project, although drivers will have to cross
a short stretch of gravel where the pavement is temporarily filled
in until asphalt is laid.
Electronic message boards
and orange signs will alert drivers to the operation.
