2005 St. Louis Highway Construction Guide Now Available
ST LOUIS – The Missouri Department of Transportation has
just released the 2005 St. Louis Highway Construction Guide. The
full-color map details 83 major construction sites in the St.
Louis metro area in 2005.
This year will be one of the busiest highway construction seasons
for the Missouri Department of Transportation. MoDOT will spend
approximately $300 million on more than 100 new highway construction
projects in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Although not a complete
listing of all MoDOT construction projects, the map features descriptions
of various projects that may affect traffic in the St. Louis metro
area this year.
The map is useful for over-the-road truck drivers, visitors planning
a trip through the St. Louis metro area and daily commuters who
want to learn more about roadwork in the area. Tips for driving
safely through work zones, information on MoDOT’s Gateway
Guide program, and information about MoDOT’s “Smoother,
Safer, Sooner” program are also included in this year’s
brochure.
Copies of the 2005 St. Louis Highway Construction Guide are available
