Pipe Replacement Project to
Cause Delays
For Two Weeks On Route 64 West of Lebanon
MoDOT, District 8, Springfield -- Drivers can expect one-lane
traffic and, at times, brief road closings on Route 64 west of
Lebanon for two weeks beginning Tuesday, February 22, the Missouri
Department of Transportation said.
Lebanon maintenance crews will replace
eight deteriorating metal pipes underneath the highway between
Laclede County Route KK and the Dallas/Laclede county line.
Most of the time, one lane of Route
64 will be closed where the work is being done. Flaggers will
stop vehicles and then guide drivers through the project.
At times, the highway will be closed
altogether for a few minutes to allow crews to re-position equipment.
The pipe replacement operation is
needed to prepare the roadway for resurfacing this summer.
Rain, snow and/or cold
temperatures will cause postponements in the project.
