Partnering for Innovative Efficiencies is one of many ways that MoDOT seeks input, from our partners, to improve transportation in Missouri. With limited resources, the intent of these meetings is to look for ideas that can help improve performance, reduce costs and satisfy more of our customers.
The November 2007 Partnering Meeting yields many ideas capturing the true spirit of collaborating. The interest and complexity of the six ideas requires teams from the motor carrier industry, and MoDOT partners to turn them into action.
Read more about all the ideas generate and the five improvement teams and continue to check back to view the progress.
Six proposed motor carrier concerns were agreed upon. They are:
- Flexibility with hours of service
- Increase truck lanes
- Clear accident scenes faster
- Get more information faster
- Increase truck parking
- Investigate intermodal connectivity to improve efficiencies by including freight representatives in the planning processes
In addition to these teams MoDOT is exploring a number of other ideas offered by our partners
