MoDOT, District 8, Springfield -- Greene County Routes B and T west of Springfield and north of Interstate 44 are scheduled to be resurfaced beginning the week of April 11, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Drivers can expect one-lane traffic where the contractor crews are working. Flaggers will direct vehicles through the work zone.
Short driving delays can be expected.
A one-inch layer of asphalt will be laid to provide a new driving surface on the two roads.
Rain will cause delays.
Here's a look at the schedule:
* Greene County Route B between I-44 and Route 266 will be completed first.
The Route B project should take less than one working day.
* The resurfacing work on Route T will take place between Route 266 west of Springfield and Greene County Route F south of Ash Grove. The operation will run through Bois D'Arc.
The Route T resurfacing should be completed in two to three working days.
MoDOT maintenance crews already have replaced drain pipes and patched areas along both Route B and Route T to get them ready for the re-paving.
The prime contractor on the two resurfacing projects is Journagan Construction of Springfield. The low bid amounts were $28,155 for Route B and $237,180 for Route T.
