MoDOT, District 8, Springfield -- Three state highways in Webster County will be resurfaced, with work scheduled to begin in March, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Where the contractor resurfacing operation is working, drivers can expect one-lane traffic and slight delays.
Flaggers will help direct drivers through the work zone.
Here's a look at what's planned and when:
- Webster County Route B between Route OO at Northview and Route AD north of Rogersville.
This work is scheduled to begin the week of March 21. It is expected to take four working days to complete.
This road will receive a one-inch driving surface.
- Route 38 east of Marshfield -- between Webster County Route C and Wright County Route F just east of the Webster-Wright county line.
When crews finish with Webster County Route B, they'll move to Route 38. This road will get a new one-inch driving surface. It is expected to take four working days to complete.
- Webster County Route C between Route 60 and Route 38 north of Seymour.
This road will receive a new one-inch driving surface following the project to resurface Webster County Route B and Route 38. It is expected to take six working days to complete.
Crews will use a special harder type of rock in the asphalt mix to help the new pavement withstand the effect of steel horseshoes from the area's horse-and-buggy traffic.
Rain, snow and cold temperatures will cause changes in the work schedule.
The contractor on these projects is Journagan Construction of Springfield at a low bid amount of $683,756.
