Project:

• Replace high-maintenance Glenstone Avenue bridges over I-44 with wider, higher spans.

• Replace “cloverleaf” with “diamond” interchange and install new sig- nals on ramps at Glenstone Avenue.

• Widen Route H between I-44 and Valley Water Mill Road by adding
  a center turn lane.

• Widen the intersections of McClernon Street/Route H and Valley Water Mill Road/Route H.

Construction: 2008-2010

Cost estimate: $10 million, with MoDOT, the City of Springfield and Greene County joining in cost-sharing partnership.

Traffic Impacts During Construction:

• Ramps at interchange closed at times.

• One lane of traffic in each direction on one bridge as the other bridge is torn down and replaced.

• Lane closings and traffic shifts to widen Route H.
