Project: Relocate Northbound Route 13 adjacent to Southbound Route 13 in 12.5-mile long section in northern Greene County and southern Polk County:
- Greene County – 4.9 miles between Pinewood Drive (south of Farm Road 48) and
Farm Road 6 - which is currently under construction
- Polk County – 7.6 miles between 565th Road and 490th Road
Features: Shift Northbound lanes from original roadway, built in 1920s, to parallel Southbound lanes built in 1970s. Includes:
- Existing Route 13 used as "outer roads"
- Access to Northbound Route 13, with crossovers to Southbound side: in Greene County at Farm Road 44, Farm Road 34, Route CC/BB and Farm Road 6; and in Polk County at 559th Road, Route 215, 515th Road, Route KK, 505th Road and 490th Road; plus private entrances in sev- eral locations.
Construction: Two years for each section
- Greene County portion: Begins Summer 2008, Completion Summer 2009
- Polk County portion: Begins Fall/Winter 2008, Completion Winter 2010
Total estimated cost for both projects: $25 million
