Republic: Be Ready
for Lane Closings
At Intersections on U.S. 60/Route 413
|
| |
*DISTRICT 8, SPRINGFIELD
- Drivers can expect lanes to be closed on
U.S. 60/Route 413 at the Hines and Elm street intersections
during the weeks of November 15 and 22.
Contractor crews will finish installing wiring for new
traffic signals, the Missouri Department of Transportation
said.
Lane closings also are possible at various locations
on U.S. 60/Route 413 when crews finish work on building
concrete medians.
Dirt work will be done and sod will be laid at various
locations along the shoulders -- AWAY from traffic.
No night work is planned for either week.
Rain will cause delays in the project. Background
The prime contractor on the $6.1-million widening project
along U.S.60/Route 413 in Republic is Journagan Construction
of Springfield. Some sewer and water line work is being
done by the City of Republic, a partner with MoDOT on
the project.
The project involves adding a lane in each direction
and rebuilding city street approaches and driveway entrances
between Hines Street and West Avenue, with work continuing
through November. |
