Republic: Street and
Business Approaches
To Be Paved During Week of October 25

*DISTRICT 8, SPRINGFIELD
- Drivers should be alert for slowdowns along
U.S. 60/Route 413 in Republic during the week of October
25 when paving crews are scheduled to work at city street
approaches and business entrances, the Missouri Department
of Transportation said.
Contractor crews plan to pave the approaches to the
highway during daytime hours.
This work may require half a business entrance to be
blocked and one-lane traffic at city street approaches.
Drivers on U.S. 60/Route 413 should be prepared for
vehicles slowing down on the highway and turning slowly
into driveways and side streets.
Other work planned during the week, although weather
may cause delays or changes:
* Concrete to be poured for new islands at the Hines
and Elm street intersections with U.S. 60/Route 413.
Traffic will be moved away from where the work is taking
place.
* Paving on U.S. 60/Route 413. Traffic will be shifted
away from where crews are set up.
* Installing street lights, building concrete sidewalks
and laying sod along U.S. 60/Route 413. This work at
various locations along U.S. 60/Route 413 will take
place AWAY from traffic.
No night work is planned for the week |
