MoDOT Road Report for Monday, May 12

I-44 Lane Closings:

• Lebanon area: Westbound lanes narrowed to two 10-foot lanes round the clock. I-44 speed limit reduced to 60 mph. Crews rebuilding westbound on-ramp. Mile Marker 127.
  Concrete trucks will move onto bridge to pour a new deck. Watch for construction vehicles on Morgan Road or Elm Street approaching the new bridge under construction.
  Exit 127 bridge over I-44 at Lebanon is closed until shortly before Memorial Day, as part of the interchange reconstruction project (see project details below). Drivers who normally would use the bridge will have to cross I-44 at Route 5 (Jefferson Avenue) at Mile Marker 129 to the east or the County Road/Route W at the Mile Marker 123 interchange at Caffeyville to the west.

 

• Springfield area: NIGHTTIME LANE CLOSINGS - One westbound lane closed between Route 65 and Glenstone Avenue. Mile Marker 80-82. Pavement repairs.  Work hours:  7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  
  

Area Road Work Schedule:

• HEADS UP: Bluegrass Road on the west side of Route 65 north of Springfield CLOSED until May 19. Contractor crews rebuilding intersection with new southbound lanes of Route 65. (see Route 65 project information below)
  
• Route 125 between Chadwick and Sparta:  One-lane traffic. Sealing the roadway with rock and oil.  Follow pilot car.  Reduced speed limit:  45 mph.

• Route 65 between Christian County Route F/Business 65 in Ozark and I-44 in Springfield; also I-44, Kearney Street and Sunshine Street in Springfield:  Slow-moving operation.  Striping pavement.  Work hours:  midnight to 6 a.m.

• Greene County Route H at the Little Sac River bridge near Greene County Route KK north of Springfield:  One lane traffic.  Bridge deck repairs.

 

• Greene County Route J one mile south of Greene County Route D and south of Farm Road 150 east of Springfield:  One-lane traffic.  Replacing a concrete culvert.  One-lane traffic round the clock through Friday.

• Route 65 and Route 32 Intersection in Buffalo: Nighttime lane closings.  Contractor grinding off old pavement and laying new asphalt.  Sunday night through Wednesday night.  Work hours:  7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

• Route 65 in various locations between Buffalo and Preston:  One-lane traffic.  Contractor resurfacing roadway. 

• Route 65 south of Buffalo near Route 38/Dallas County Route TT:  Traffic slowed or stopped twice a day.  Contractor blasting rock for widening project.  Blasting hours: noon and 6 p.m. (see project details below)

• Route 76 at the Bull Shoals Lake bridge near Forsyth:  One-lane traffic.  Temporary traffic signals regulating traffic across the bridge round the clock. Contractor crew repainting the bridge.
