I-270/I-70 Bridge & Ramp Rehabilitation Project
Project Overview -
MoDOT and its contractor Millstone Bangert rehabbed the bridges at I-270 and I-70 interchange. These bridges and ramps were deteriorated and the rehab restored the roadway to its original condition. The bridge and ramps service the nearby businesses, residents and traveling public daily.
Construction on the bridge required temporarily closing the flyover ramps and lane reduction, but three lanes on the I-70 bridge remained open throughout the project.
Construction on the flyover ramps will take place on weekends only, when two of the ramps will be closed to traffic as detailed below. Detour routes will be set up, and access to and from adjacent public and private businesses will be maintained. At a cost of $4 million the project was complete mid October 2006.
