*I-64/40 Reconstruction – The following lanes will be closed as part of the I-64 reconstruction work between May 19, 2008 and May 25, 2008.
Monday, May 19
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of westbound I-64 will be closed at Sarah Street.
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., striping operations in each direction of I-64 at the I-270 ramp. When crews finish the I-270 northbound ramp to westbound 64 will go back to the original configuration of one lane.
- From 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Clayton Road will have one lane closed in each direction between Warson Road and I-64.
- From 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Clayton Road will be closed at I-64.
Tuesday, May 20
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., expect various lane and ramp closures at Hampton Avenue and I-64.
Wednesday, May 21
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., expect various lane and ramp closures at Hampton Avenue and I-64.

St. Louis County
*Interstate 44 from I-270 to I-55- Crews will be working on repaving Interstate 44 from Murdoch to Interstate 55 in the City of St. Louis. Work includes both west and eastbound lanes of I-44 to replace asphalt on the left and right lanes. The work will be performed at night between the following hours:
- EB I-44
- Single Lane Closure: 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM
- Double Lane Closure: 9:00 PM - 4:00 AM
- WB I-44
- Single Lane Closure: 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM
- Double Lane Closure: 9:00 PM - 4:00 AM
These repairs are expected to be completed sometime in June, weather permitting.
A second project involves asphalt repair work on Interstate 44 from Interstate 270 to Murdoch. Crews will be resurfacing the old striping lanes on I-44. Work is underway on the westbound lanes of I-44 and crews will move to the eastbound lanes once the westbound lane work is completed.
Occasional closures of entrance and exit ramps on Murdoch, Elm, Berry Road and Big Bend Boulevard. This work will be done during the daytime hours as follows:
- WB I-44
- Double Lane Closure: 8:30AM - 3:00PM
- EB I-44
- Double Lane Closure: 9:00AM - 3:00PM
The resurfacing work is expected to be complete by the end of May, weather permitting.
Route 141 from the just north of the intersection of Route 40 to approximately one-mile south - No work is planned this week, various lane drops are possible for miscellaneous work.
*Route 141 from the intersection of Route 30 to approximately one-mile south (Gravois Bluffs) – Nightly paving operations continue on north and southbound Rte. 141. Expect lane closures Monday thru Friday from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am.
*Route 109 between Route CC (Wild Horse Creek Rd.) and Route 100 (Manchester Road) – Monday, May 19th, Krupp will continue milling and asphalt paving on Rte. 109. These operations will create a one-lane roadway. The contractor will utilize a detour on BA for southbound traffic, flaggers, and pilot vehicles from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, weather permitting.
I-44 at Six Flags Rd. in Eureka – This project will construct a paved and lighted commuter parking lot. No lane closures are expected. The project is currently on hold.
I-170 at Olive Blvd. – Crews will be finishing up work associated with building the Olive Blvd. and Interstate 170 interchange. Crews will be working on sidewalk, grading, and other final tasks on the project. Drivers can expect occasional lane closures through the remaining work.
Route 40 from Chesterfield Parkway to Boone Bridge – Temporary striping is complete on eastbound Route 40. All work will resume in the spring of 2008. Crews will stripe eastbound Route 40. Westbound Route 40 striping is complete.
Route 21 from south of Butler Hill Rd. to just north of Lonedell Rd. - No work is planned this week, various lane drops are possible for miscellaneous work.
*Route 30 (Gravois Road) from Lindbergh Blvd to Eddie & Park Road- Construction has started to install traffic signal interconnect systems. Possible lane closures on eastbound Route 30 from Lindbergh Blvd to Eddie & Park Road, & Weber to River Des Peres, between the hours 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Lane closures are also possible on Lemay Ferry Road between Lindbergh & Reavis Barracks. Shoulder work is possible at the exit ramp from Northbound I-270 to Gravois Road.
Route 231 – Telegraph Bridge over I-255 -
All lanes on Route 231 and I-255 are now open. All detours have been removed. Daily lane closures can still be expected to allow for miscellaneous finish work. This job is scheduled to be complete summer of 2008.
Rte 267 (Lemay Ferry Road) from Lindbergh to Bayless – All major construction is complete. Stripers will be placing arrows, stop bars and crosswalks in various lanes along Lemay Ferry Road and on cross streets from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some lane lines will also be restriped using a moving lane drop as weather permits.
Route 367 from Norma Lane south of Lindbergh Blvd. All work is complete. Only minor lane closures can be expected this spring for seeding and sodding operations.
Clayton Rd. (Route HH) between Baxter and Clarkson Rd. (Route 340)– Clayton Road may be restricted to one lane at various times this week during non-rush hours with flaggers helping to direct traffic. Work continues between Kehr’s Mill and Baxter. Expect narrow lanes and flagging operations Monday thru Friday. Reconstruction of Country Club Drive is underway. Country Club will remain open during this construction. Use caution throughout this area.
Various routes around St. Louis – Crews will be interconnecting signals on routes around St. Louis. Crews will be working on Route HH (Clayton Road), from Kehr’s Mill Road to Clarkson Road and on Ballas Road (Route JJ) from Conway to Route HH (Clayton Road). There should be minimal impact to traffic, as most work should be done from the shoulders. Lanes may be closed for short periods of time.

St. Louis City
Hampton Ave at I-44 to Sublette Bridge – Work has begun on the improvements to the eastbound on-ramp to Interstate 44 from Hampton Ave. Widening of the ramp and Sublette Bridge has started and is underway. Revisions to the bridge at Hampton, under I-44 on the east end will start sometime in late May. Construction will be completed off the roadway during daytime and periodic nighttime work. Construction expected to be completed in July 2008.

St. Charles County
Route 61 at McCoy Creek – Traffic is advised to slow down through the work zone. Lanes have been narrowed and northbound traffic has been shifted to the left side of its respective bridge. Southbound traffic has been shifted to the right side of its respective bridge. Most work will occur behind temporary concrete barrier. Any work requiring a reduction in the number of lanes will occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays, with flaggers directing traffic on the remaining lane. This is part of a bridge-widening project over McCoy Creek.
*Route 40 between Route K and Winghaven (Route DD)– All work is now complete on this project. Traffic has moved to the new westbound Route 40 lanes. The North Outer Road is now open completely from Hwy K to Winghaven.
Route 40 between Lake St. Louis Blvd and I-70 – Crews are clearing rock and grading for the new eastbound Route 40 lanes and the south service road. Crews have also begun construction on the south half of the bridge for Prospect Road.
- Crews have closed access to Route 40 from Prospect Road to allow material staging and bridge construction to begin. Traffic wishing to access Route 40 should detour through Callahan Road.
- Crews have closed access from Oak Bluff Drive to Route 40. To access the road, drivers need to take the Lake St. Louis Blvd. exit, go south to Hawk Ridge Circle and take a right. Take another right onto Freymuth Road, which leads to a newly completed extension that ties directly into Oak Bluff Drive.
- Crews have closed the intersection of Prospect Road and Corporate Parkway. The intersection will be closed until June 2008 as crews remove the old roadway, build up the surrounding road and pour concrete pavement.
Route 364 between Jungs Station Road and Jungermann Road – Crews will continue to haul dirt, weather permitting, from the south side of Route 94 to construct the new south outer road for Route 364 between Harvester Road and Jungermann Road. Trucks are hauling excess dirt from this area and transporting it from Harvester Road to a stockpile area on the north side of Route 94, just east of Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Drivers should use caution as trucks will be entering and exiting the highway. Late next week crews will be blasting and removing rock for installation of drainage structures along Centre Pointe Drive, between Glen Park and Woodstone Drive. Traffic on Centre Pointe and Highway 94 will be stopped during blasting activities. This will occur between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. daily. This work should last approximately one week. This is the first section of Phase 2 Route 364. This job includes grading, concrete pavement, drainage, and a steel girder bridge at Harvester Road. The paving includes new north and south outer roads between Jungs Station Road to just east of Jungermann Road, and new Route 364 pavement from Jungs Station Road to just east of Woodstone Drive.
Route A over Route 61 in Wentzville – Crews are working on miscellaneous corrections from a recent semi-final inspection. All lanes on Route A and Route 61 are open to traffic.
Route N between Spring Orchard Drive and Meadowlake Drive– Crews have completed widening the roadway to make room for a left turn lane. Some construction traffic remains to complete shoulder work.

Jefferson County
I-55 West Outer Road at Seckman Road – Construction has begun on I-55 West Outer Road at Seckman Road. This project will widen West Outer Road from Seckman Road to past Old Antonia Road, replace the bridge over Rock Creek and install new fencing along I-55. Flaggers may be in place daily at this location from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to allow trucks access to job site. The job is scheduled to be complete by Oct. 3, 2008.
New Rte 21 from Old Rte 21 to Hayden Rd. - Old Rte 21 is closed at New Rte 21 for construction of the new interchange. Traffic can detour the ramp bypass or Schenk Rd. This project consists of relocating Rte 21 between Old Rte 21 and Hayden Rd.
Rte 61/67 at Joachim Creek – Rte 61/67 will have daily lane closures to complete bridge rehabilitation work (weather permitting). This project is scheduled to be complete by summer 2008.
*Rte 61/67 (Jeffco Blvd) from Richardson Road to Telegraph Road – Construction has started along Jeffco Blvd to install traffic signal interconnect systems at various locations of Route 61/67. Southbound Rte 61/67 will have a right lane closure at various locations between Richardson Road and Telegraph Road during the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting. This project is scheduled to be complete July 2008.
I-55 from Rte M to Rte 67 - Median work continues for guard-cable installation. There will be daily shoulder closures from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday. This project is to be complete by spring 2008.
Rte BB from Rte 21 and Rte 30 - Rte BB is closed at Sand Creek. Use Rte B detour. Also expect daily one-way traffic lane closures for cross drainage replacement Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm. This project consists of cross drainage replacement, roadway realignment at Old Baker School Rd. and bridge rehabilitation over Sand Creek. This project is scheduled to be complete by fall 2008.

Franklin County
Route 100 west of the City of Washington near Route 185- This project is a bridge replacement over Little Boeuf Creek. Clearing and grubbing operations have begun. Bypass construction should begin by mid-May. Project expected to be completed by late November 08.
Route 30 at Route 47 over the BNSF Railroad in St. Clair– Traffic switched to the new bridge over BNSF railroad. Traffic remains one lane in each direction to allow for construction at several locations. Project completion expected by late August.
Route 185 at I-44 in Sullivan – Crews will construct a steel girder bridge to carry Route 185 traffic over Route I-44. There is heavy construction around the I-44 North Outer Roads at Rte. 185 and the I-44 South Outer Road at Elmont Road as work progresses on the bridge structure. Work is nearing completion in the median of I-44. Springfield Road is closed from Fisher Street to north of Park Street. Work is also progressing on the Route D and I-44 South Outer Road intersection. Watch for varying lane closures on EB and WB I-44. The project is expected to be complete by the fall of 2008.
