Want to avoid as many orange barrels as possible this year? Check out MoDOT’s statewide construction map.

The guide lists major construction projects that will affect traffic across the state, and breaks out major projects in the St. Louis, Springfield and Kansas City areas.  The map gives brief project details, notes whether work is occurring during the day or night or both and shows the expected completion date.

You can get copies of the statewide construction map by calling MoDOT’s toll-free number, 888-ASK-MoDOT. Or you can download a pdf of the map.  The department’s Web site also offers a map specific to construction projects on Interstate 44, as well as an interactive work zone map that gives more detailed work zone information.
